October 24, 2023	Publication of a progress report (interim report) on the sophistication of financial institutions’ internal audits <Summary> In June 2019, the FSA published a document titled "Current Status and Challenges for Sophistication of Financial Institutions' Internal Audit" (provisional English title) [available only in Japanese], which was compiled based on the results of its monitoring of internal audits at financial institutions. Since then, the FSA has continued to conduct monitoring for financial institutions aimed at the sophistication of their internal audits. In this regard, on October 24, 2023, the FSA compiled and published a progress report (interim report) on the sophistication of financial institutions' internal audits (available only in Japanese), which mainly outlines the status of internal audit practices and awareness of issues among major banking groups. The FSA approved the business adaptation plans (in terms of reduction of environmental burden associated with energy usage) for The San-in Godo Bank, Ltd., and The Chiba Bank, Ltd., pursuant to the "Industrial Competitiveness Enhancement Act."

Publication of a progress report (interim report) on the sophistication of financial institutions’ internal audits
