The Safety-net for Life Insurance Sector in Japan
- In 1998, a safety-net for life insurance sector was established with the resources of 460 billion yen.
- In 2000, it was enhanced with additional 500 billion yen including 400 billion yen of special government subsidy scheme effective for three years.
- On May 9, 2003, revision of the Insurance Business Law was proclaimed, which includes renewing of the safety-net for life insurance sector.
