What’s NewGLOPAC Newsletter Vol. 18 Just Published

The 19th Group of Visiting Fellows, consisting of eight officials from the insurance authorities of India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and Vietnam, successfully completed the GLOPAC Virtual Fellowship Program. It was the first time for us to welcome participants to the GLOPAC Fellowship Program itself and to the insurance program from Morocco and India, respectively. The GLOPAC invites officials from financial regulatory authorities in emerging countries and regions to physically come to Tokyo, Japan, to participate in the Program for 2-3 months; however, this 19th Group of the Program was conducted on an online basis following the banking and securities program since the outbreak of Covid-19. In spite of the time differences and physical distances, all of the Visiting Fellows proactively participated in all sessions, and even the discussion session was effectively conducted. Also, the Fellows had greetings and individual meetings with Mr. Nakajima, Commissioner of the JFSA, and Ms. Amaya, Vice Minister for International Affairs, as well as senior officials of JFSA. We promised to maintain this global human network for the future with a hope to meet face to face in Tokyo soon.
